Bobbing for Apples?
Although it's about a month since I've posted anything, I haven't really been a slacker and I have had feelings of guilt every once in a while. So I think it's really strange that I've been thinking of starting a second blog just for my grandchildren. In fact, I tried to do just that but can't quite figure out how to have 2 blogs at the same time, technically speaking. And since I don't have time to figure that out today, I'll just put my idea into this blog. Then in a week or two maybe one of you will help me figure out what I need to do to open Grandma Linda's blog, ok?
Anyway, here's a fun website for ideas about what we can learn from apples: http://72.18.198.165/publisher/dpmdigital/Westchester_Family_South_Edition/issue14/magazine.php?page=60&taken=1
Did you know that we have a lot in common with apples? Well, apples are approximately 80% water and we humans are approximately 50-65% water. Also, apple peels work a lot like our skin, preventing the water inside from evaporating, protecting what's under the flesh, and even bruising.
If you want to have even more fun with apples and see what happens when they lose their water content, let me know and I'll give you tips on making a puppet doll face by carving an apple - It's a lot of fun :)

Did you know the meaning of Apple in Greek?
Love the idea of Grandma's blog...Jared just came back from a field trip to an apple farm. He'll love this. Thank you.
What a fun idea! Tyler and Emalyn are going to love doing this apple experiment. Let me know when the Grandma blog is going!
I had no idea we had that much in common with Apples...but I guess I never gave the matter that much though.
