Our Timpanogos Trek

We hiked up Timpanogos a week ago, on Sept 10. It was beautiful!

We look nice and fresh as we begin our climb...

We saw many more snowfields than are usually around this late in the summer.

And many, many waterfalls, all GORGEOUS!

We had to enjoy the views ahead and behind.

Finally we made it to Emerald Lake, with these beautiful glaciers on the side.

On our way down we were greeted by a mama mountain goat and her cutie pie.

Mother Nature had planted fields of flowers in the bountiful meadows we walked through.

And don't forget that we also passed many many rocky areas...

It really was absolutely breathtaking!

This is probably the last photo I took. Because this is about the time both knees starting hurting, followed by screaming blisters on each foot. I should have taken a photo of them and my 2 purple toenails!

We think we hiked about 12 miles - Much more than we've done in a lllloooonnnnnggggg time. And now he's talking about hiking the Grand Canyon....
